BAAS in General Studies

  • 124 total credit hours

Degree Information
  • The General Studies major requires 40 junior-senior level semester hours.

    General Education Requirements: 45 hours

    • Major Degree Requirements: 40 hours in junior-senior level courses
    • Optional Minor: 18-24 hours
    • Electives (with optional minor): 15-21 hours
    • Electives (without optional minor): 39 hours
    • Total Degree Requirements: 124 hours

    Note:

    • A maximum of 21 hours may be earned in any one department.
    • Students are required to complete a minimum of 31 hours through HPU.
    • A minimum of 18 upper-level hours must be completed for a bachelor’s degree.
      • A minimum of 12 upper-level hours must be earned in the student’s major. 
      • A minimum of 6 hours upper-level hours must be earned in the minor, if chosen.
